Looking back at 2023 and all that God has done, and where He has brought me from, I can only say I am in awe of Him. My word for last year was Freedom, and that is exactly what God brought into my life. There was so much I needed to be freed from, and I was set free.

I also walked away from a company I helped build and was a part of for five years. I was working such long hours, and I lost my sense of identity. When other people’s happiness makes you angry because you can’t find joy, it’s time to step back, walk away, and rethink your life. And that is what I did, probably one of the hardest things I have had to do in my life.

But after walking away and thinking of what I truly wanted in life I launched a new company, Mercy Press, to publish my books. But as I sit and think about the future, I truly feel that my word for 2024 is Redemption — reclaiming something that was lost and that something is me.

Ephesians 1:7-8 says: “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.”

God makes all things new. And I am looking forward to what 2024 will bring. Here’s to Redemption.
